Huddersfield, UK – The move is a direct result of significant expansion over the past decade, increasing capacity and capitalising on enhanced transportation links, with easy access to J23 and J24 of the M62, offering greater efficiencies within the logistics chain.
Michael Gibbs, Managing Director of European Springs & Pressings says: “This development is very exciting for the organisation. Leaner logistics and increased storage facilities now ensures long-term competitiveness for our customers.
Increased storage capacity
European Springs & Pressings import a number of gas springs and standard stock springs from the parent company’s factories in Europe. Previously, restrictions on space made it difficult to store the 12,000+ lines of catalogue products that are offered. The new increased storage capacity will allow importing larger volumes and holding an enhanced stock range.
“There will be a decreased timeframe from order to delivery and dramatically reduced associated costs. As a result we will soon be able to offer a 24hr delivery service and these cost savings will be passed directly on to our customers,” says Michael Gibbs.
Perfect destination
Gibbs concludes: “Incorporating all previous operations under one specialist roof also offers greater expansion opportunities in to new markets. The new facility at Spring Moor in Huddersfield is a perfect destination and we look forward to quickly establishing ourselves in the community and contributing to its economic success.”
The new site at Spring Moor, Lindley Moor Road, Huddersfield will be live from June 2017 and fully operational from August 2017.
