We are through the acute phase of the fire in Åminnefors. An inspection is ongoing to evaluate the full extent of the damage, in close collaboration with the rescue services and insurance companies.

Our focus remains on supporting our colleagues in Åminnefors and actively working with our customers to secure the business in the most feasible way.

The fire has now been extinguished. Our priority now is to support and help our colleagues in Åminnefors. We are actively working to review how we can relocate production internally within the Lesjöfors Group and support our customers.

[Monday February 17]

One of our sites in Amminefors, Finland is currently managing a factory fire. No one is injured. The fire is ongoing and being investigated.

A crisis group is taking the correct steps as laid out in our crisis management plan.  

Ola Tengroth, CEO of the Lesjöfors Group says: “Firefighters are currently trying to prevent the fire from spreading. Everyone from the building has been safely removed from the area, and there are no injuries.”
