Environmentally friendly solutions
Since 2019, the companies have collaborated to develop the optimum metal belt for cellular glass production, with a strong focus on minimizing the environmental footprint.
Glapor specializes in the manufacturing and sales of foam glass products, which are used in the construction and civil engineering industries. Their operations include the production of sustainable and environmentally friendly insulation materials made from 100% recycled glass and they have been using Tribelt’s metal belts in its production for five years. The process recycles smashed glass granules, which are then melted together on a belt, which then pass through a high-temperature oven.
Advanced solutions through collaboration
The collaboration began when Glapor sought a higher-quality metal belt solution that would reduce downtime and extend lifespan.
A key factor in the project’s success was Tribelt’s focus on understanding Glapor’s production process and the unique challenges it faced. As a result, the two companies worked closely together to develop an innovative solution designed to optimize Glapor’s manufacturing process
Klaus Dietz, purchasing manager at Glapor says: „By working closely with Tribelt, we have been able to significantly extend the lifetime of our production belts and increase the reliability of our systems.
We chose Tribelt because of their extensive experience, excellent advice and reliable delivery. Their proposed solutions and the high quality of their metal belts convinced us to work with them.”
Focus on sustainability
Both Tribelt and Glapor prioritize sustainability in their operations. By optimizing production processes, they can reduce unnecessary transportation and minimize their CO2 footprint.
Tribelt focuses on using recycled materials, reusing packaging, and introducing new steels with enhanced tensile strength – measures that contribute to extending the lifespan of their metal belts.
Glapor operates in cutting-edge production facilities and generates electricity through a photovoltaic field, further enhancing their sustainability efforts.
„Our sustainable values are reflected in everything we do, from reusing transport crates to providing charging points for our employees, we are committed to green solutions, and it is important that our suppliers are too“, says Klaus Dietz.
Future-oriented partnership
The collaboration with Tribelt has not only led to improved product quality but has also opened new markets because of the higher efficiency the new metal belts provide.
Klaus Dietz adds: „Our projects range from disabled-accessible railway stations in Paris to innovative pavements in Amsterdam. The partnership with Tribelt has allowed us to expand our reach and influence.“
Rahmi Erkan, Tribelt’s Field Sales Representative for Southern Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, emphasises: „We are constantly monitoring what is happening in the market and looking for new materials so that we can further enhance our solutions and stay ahead of competition. Our partnership with Glapor is an example of how companies can achieve great things through collaboration and shared values.“
Through continuous innovation and a joint focus on sustainability, Tribelt and Glapor are setting new standards in the industry and are proof of how technical excellence and environmental focus can go hand in hand.
