{"id":63852,"date":"2023-05-09T10:30:00","date_gmt":"2023-05-09T08:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.lesjoforsab.com\/?p=63852"},"modified":"2025-01-14T11:53:23","modified_gmt":"2025-01-14T10:53:23","slug":"lesjofors-innovate-performance-suspension-springs-for-the-polestar-2-bst-edition-270","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lesjoforsab.com\/about-lesjofors\/news\/lesjofors-innovate-performance-suspension-springs-for-the-polestar-2-bst-edition-270\/","title":{"rendered":"Lesj\u00f6fors innovate performance suspension springs for the Polestar 2 BST Edition 270"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Taking the DNA of the Polestar 2, the BST edition 270 is an expertly tuned, handling-focused, limited-edition performance EV, hand-finished\u00a0to exact specifications, using select, zero-tolerance performance parts.<\/p>\n<p>To meet the extraordinary execution required, Lesj\u00f6fors was asked to deliver on the zero-tolerance performance parts, developing bespoke <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lesjoforsab.com\/products\/suspension-springs\/\">suspension springs<\/a> to secure the performance levels being asked by these advancements in EV frontiers.<\/p>\n<h4>Tests and fine-tuning at the spring factory<\/h4>\n<p>Establishing a live workshop in the Lesj\u00f6fors factory in the middle of Sweden with a Polestar test car, suspension spring designs were manufactured, mounted and tested around the roads of the factory and the suspension spring performance was evaluated and fine-tuned between the Polestar and Lesj\u00f6fors engineers.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.lesjoforsab.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/652867_20220602_polestar_2_bst_edition_270.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<h4>A unique service<\/h4>\n<p>Securing the winning suspension spring, <strong>Joakim Rydholm<\/strong>, Head of Chassis Development at Polestar says:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cIt was so cool to build and test the suspension spring function on-site, in the factory. Lesj\u00f6fors\u2019 service is unique. They have a deep understanding of spring precision. They developed springs that were made just for this car \u2013 you could almost say hand-crafted, with generations of spring specialist knowledge that <\/em><em>uniquely delivers the level of quality and performance we require.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<h4>Close cooperation as one team<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Olof Jonsson<\/strong>, Sales Manager for Lesj\u00f6fors says:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWhen Joakim called us and revealed that his\u00a0CEO wanted to take the DNA of the hugely successful Polestar 2 and reimagine it into a limited-edition performance car, which had to be in production in 12 months and needed some very special\u00a0springs, we knew we had an exceptional project to deliver. We have a perfect partnership with Polestar. With them, we work as one team.
