{"id":37793,"date":"2020-11-26T14:58:30","date_gmt":"2020-11-26T13:58:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.lesjoforsab.com\/?p=37793"},"modified":"2020-11-26T14:58:32","modified_gmt":"2020-11-26T13:58:32","slug":"investments-in-southern-germany-and-slovakia-for-further-growth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.lesjoforsab.com\/about-lesjofors\/news\/investments-in-southern-germany-and-slovakia-for-further-growth\/","title":{"rendered":"INVESTMENTS IN SOUTHERN GERMANY AND SLOVAKIA FOR FURTHER GROWTH"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>The Lesj\u00f6fors company Stumpp + Sch\u00fcle, with sites in Germany and Slovakia, has made important decisions for the future orientation of the company by further investments in the Slovakian site and in new software tools.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite the major challenges that the Automotive supplier industry has faced throughout this year,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stumpp + Sch\u00fcle has continued to devote its capacities and resources to strengthen the future orientation for both sites from a strategic point of view and push ahead with its implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Investments in toolmaking expertise<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2019, Stumpp + Sch\u00fcle s. r. o. in Nov\u00e9 Z\u00e1mky, Slovakia, has been investing in the development of its own tool shop. The objective is to provide the complete design and manufacturing of progressive tools for stamped parts from in-house toolmaking expertise by the end of 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The intense build-up continued this year despite COVID19 and several months of short-time work, not least thanks to the Lesj\u00f6fors Group&#8217;s approval of further investments in corresponding equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A competence hub<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Moreover, a second strategic aspect was added: With the partially implemented relocation of Bihler machines to the Slovakian plant, the decision was made to provide design and manufacturing of corresponding inhouse tools for this field of technology. Here, too, initial activities are already underway, including the first project realisations in Nov\u00e9 Z\u00e1mky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Slovakian site of Stumpp + Sch\u00fcle is thus increasingly developing into a competence centre for tool design and tool construction in the field of pressings. In this context, the Stumpp + Sch\u00fcle Group expects not only synergy effects for the German location, where the Bihler production is mainly located.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>&#8220;With our investments in the Slovakian site, we aim to strengthen our local presence as well as the market position of Stumpp + Sch\u00fcle in general. Especially in connection with the \u201eLocal-for-Local\u201d topic, which is more relevant than ever, we consider it absolutely necessary to expand our product and service portfolio for our customers accordingly&#8221;<\/em>, explains <strong>Miro Ribaric<\/strong>, the Managing Director of the Stumpp + Sch\u00fcle Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stefan Kostolani<\/strong>, Managing Director of Stumpp + Sch\u00fcle s. r. o., adds: <em>&#8220;These investments will make us much more competitive and give us more power and flexibility.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Intensified digitalisation speeds up processes<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally yet importantly, the ongoing trend of digitalisation does not stop at Stumpp + Sch\u00fcle:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the migration to a new ERP system at the Beuren site by Q1\/2021, the German site will switch to the software solution Movex used by the Lesj\u00f6fors Group for many years. The German workforce is currently attending regular training and practice in groups in order to prepare for the system migration.
