Herrljunga, Sweden<\/strong> – The technically interested Pelle S\u00f6derstr\u00f6m got inspired to the massive engine construction already in the late 60\u2019s by a TV-show called \u201cHerkules Jonssons storverk\u201d, a story about a boy who carries out great achievements in different fields. Pelle\u00b4s dream was to build an own-designed car inspired by the 30\u00b4s with a straight 16-cylinder engine, a project no one in the world had ever done before. However, it wasn\u00b4t until the summer of 2012 that his ideas could start to convert into reality. Pelle named the extraordinary project \u201cHerkules 1934\u201d. Since then, Pelle has put thousands of hours and a lot of money into planning, constructing and documenting the project. <\/p>\n\n

Valve springs with a crucial function<\/h4>\n\n

A central part of the special designed engine is customized valve springs with enough force. Pelle S\u00f6derstr\u00f6m<\/strong> contacted Lesj\u00f6fors Industrifj\u00e4drar in Herrljunga and was very pleased by the fast and professional service:\u201cAfter giving Lesj\u00f6fors the requested standards of the spring, my contact quickly responded with a spring specification that met my demands. The bespoke springs were thereafter delivered as planned and furthermore nicely packed with material certificates and test protocols enclosed.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n

End-phase of the engine construction<\/h4>\n\n

Pelle S\u00f6derstr\u00f6m is now in the last phase of the engine construction. The last piece that remains is to find a solution for the ignition cables. Nevertheless, taking a well-deserved break after that is not on his to-do list. Next step will be to build customized fellies, construct the chassi and then the auto body. Pelle doesn\u00b4t have a time schedule for when he expects the car to be ready.\u201cIt\u00b4s ready when it\u00b4s ready. My focus is to build my car just the way I dreamt of. My motivation is to create something unique, something that has never been done before. We\u00b4ll see, I might be able to take the car to the Mediterranean one day when I\u00b4m retired\u201d<\/em>, says Pelle S\u00f6derstr\u00f6m<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n
