Background
The customer purchased a spring that needed to be tin plated. The spring had to be hung up to apply the plating (this could not be done in a tumbling unit).
Action
Lesjöfors suggested that they should use tin plated wire to avoid further surface treatment.
Improvement
Reduced component price, reduced transport cost and reduced lead times.
