Background
The customer had compression springs which had to be pre-set, which was done as an extra, manual, piece-work task at Lesjöfors.
Action
Lesjöfors visited the customer and discovered that the springs were also pre-set by them during installation. Lesjöfors suggested that the specification should be amended and the assembly should be mentioned and that the following words should be added: "Preloading to L2 is done at XX assembly point".
Improvement
The customer saves 16,000:- crowns per year.
