The requirement controls the end design you should choose. Lesj"fors can offer any conceivable end design and can even design completely new customised end designs, if necessary. The forces and tolerances set the limits, and then you have to use lateral thinking!

Facts

Unique shank positions are commonly used.
In general, the helix diameter of the spring has to be controlled, either with a shaft or a sleeve.
The torque is force multiplied by the arm. I.e. the further out that the arm is loaded, the smaller is the force available.
 
Problems on an oil platform- Lesjöfors solved it!
