Hi-tech skills gives new business in China

2010-07-01 Lesjöfors in China has so far this year received new orders in the amount of 70 Million RMB (8,5 million Euro) that will be delivered during the coming 1-2 years. The orders are mainly pressings.

Lesjöfors China’s production of pressings includes tool design, tool manufacturing, high speed stamping, laser welding and surface treatment of components for the mobile phone sector in China. The customers are sub suppliers to companies like Sony Ericsson, Nokia, Apple and Motorola. Lesjöfors China’s high level of technology has made it possible to extend the customer base to more mobile phone suppliers. Tools are designed and ready within 4-5 weeks. If needed, lead times can be shortened thanks to the use of a network of sub suppliers for tool parts.

Our customers have experienced well-managed and successful projects with our organization in China.” says Mikael Andersson, Business Area Manager in China.

Enhanced capacity for more business
Lesjöfors has the capacity to take on more projects in China and the aim is to expand business also with other Scandinavian and European companies that have moved production to China. To be able to expand even further and handle the new sales within the business area industrial springs and strip components, the sales and technical department is also enhanced.    

The aim is always to give the customers a complete and competitive solution including tool concept, tool manufacturing, stamping, spring coiling and forming, surface treatment, cosmetic treatment, etching and different kind of assemblies including laser welding.

Increased capacity
Lesjöfors China is also continuously increasing the capacity within pressing and is about to start up spring manufacturing in the range from 0,5 mm up to 3 mm of wire diameter during 2010. Via complementing trading a complete range of pressings and springs can be supplied to the local market.

“We expect the growth in China to continue and we are here to service the local market. We invite all our customers in Europe who are interested to be supplied locally in China to contact us.
