Strong growth based on the substantially improved economy

2010-07-01 The recovery in the world economy has been stronger and faster than we expected. Most of our plants are now back to a good inflow of orders and we constantly increase our production capacity.

In addition to the expected increase in business volume, we have received a number of major new orders in China that will boost growth for us in the Chinese market. We therefore expand our company in China and will also start up production of conventional springs. We offer a significant store-keeping in China to serve our existing and new customers. We are actively working to further broaden our customer base in the country. Therefore, we welcome our existing European customers operating in China to contact us for further cooperation also in the Chinese market.

Option of low-cost production
In Latvia, we are also expanding our business. Here, we have built a considerable expertise around pressings and stampings and the number of new customers and business are constantly increasing. In Latvia also, we are actively working to increase our customer base. Through our Latvian production, we provide our customers in Scandinavia and Europe opportunities for low-cost production of particular labor-intensive manufacturing.

Local production and local presence, supported by the alternative of low-cost production, grow in importance. For several of our existing customers, we have found solutions that have resulted in good savings compared with previous arrangements. We will continue to develop this concept, with the aim to further enhance service to our customers.

Investments increases efficiency
Lesjöfors continue to invest to increase efficiency. This includes a number of spring coiling and forming machines, packing equipment, automated production processes, advanced measuring equipment and more. Further substantial investments will be carried out in the second half of this year, both for pressings and conventional springs.

Many of our factories are now TS certified (ISO/TS 16949), which allow a better service to customers in those industries that require the enhanced level of quality systems.

Continued expansion ahead
Lesjöfors anticipates a prosperous future and we are constantly working to further develop our business and adapt to given conditions. Our main focus is customer service and that is the core in our further expansion.
