Lesjöfors contributes to Filipstads´ Growth award

2010-01-04 Lesjöfors Fjädrar in Filipstad municipality, Sweden, is one of 640 Swedish companies that were awarded for increased turnover and profit combined with new employments. The company´s success contributes to Filipstads´ appointment as City of best economic growth in the county of Värmland in 2009.

The Swedish credit-reporting bureau Syna appoints every year one city in each Swedish county with the best economic growth. Syna´s Growth Index is based on the companies´ accounts the previous year and the more profitable companies in the city, the better placing on the list. According to Syna´s Index, Filipstad had the most profitable companies in Värmland for 2009.

Syna gives diplomas to companies who increased their turnover, employed more people and showed profit. Since many companies were affected by the recession in year-end of 2008, only 640 of Sweden´s 300 000 limited companies got the diploma from Syna. Lesjöfors Fjädrar was accordingly one of them.
